Steve G. Yoelin, MD
Dr. Steve Yoelin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the use of botulinum neurotoxins in nonsurgical aesthetics. He also injects botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs) for Bell’s palsy and other naturally occurring facial asymmetries; hyperhidrosis (axillary, palmar, plantar, etc.); migraine (and achieving better aesthetic outcomes for these patients); bruxism; and spasms/pain affecting the neck, back, and other areas. In addition to his extensive practical experience in the therapeutic and cosmetic application of BoNTs, Dr. Yoelin has made significant contributions to the education of clinicians in their safe and effective application. He also continues to participate in research into the use of these agents in facial aesthetics.
Steve Yoelin, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist based in Orange County, California, with over 22 years of experience in minimally invasive medical aesthetics, such as techniques using dermal fillers, collagen stimulators, and neurotoxins, as well as fat reduction procedures. He serves as a strategic advisor to companies ranging in size from innovative early-stage startups to multibillion-dollar industry leaders. He also operates a private practice that focuses on aesthetic injectables and has a multiyear waitlist, which he has built exclusively from repeat visits and word-of-mouth referrals.
Dr. Yoelin has trained other clinicians through 2,500+ industry-sponsored global training programs and hundreds of continuing medical education programs. He has also led dozens of clinical trials (Phases 1- 4) and investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and has authored or co-authored many peer-reviewed journal articles, posters, presentations, and a book chapter. In addition, he has been awarded several patents for his research.
Dr. Yoelin has performed dozens of fresh-frozen cadaver dissections over the past several years. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Irvine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture science and management, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Davis, where he was a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
