Toxins 101 Workshop

A Basic Course on the Clinical Applications of Botulinum Neurotoxin

Registration for Toxins 101 will open December 1st. All registered attendees will receive an email with a link to register for this workshop. Note that the class size is limited.

This is a four-hour educational event designed as an overview of the use of botulinum neurotoxin in clinical practice. The target audience is clinicians (including those in training) who have relatively limited experience with botulinum neurotoxin, as well as interested basic scientists. This is an introductory program to provide basic knowledge of the clinical uses of botulinum neurotoxin. This course will provide a foundation of knowledge for more in-depth sessions to be held during the TOXINS 2026 main program. It is designed to allow those attending an insight into the principles of patient assessment, decision-making, and treatment approaches in managing people with a range of disabling conditions using botulinum neurotoxin. The course will focus on common disorders that are treated with botulinum neurotoxin.

The program will include didactic presentations, case histories, and videos. It will focus on practical issues, such as diagnosis, muscle selection and injection, determination of botulinum neurotoxin dosages, and recognition and management of adverse effects. It will provide ample opportunity for participant interaction.
