Travel by Train

From Gothenburg Central Station take tram 2 (for Krokslätt) or tram 4 (for Mölndal). From Brunnsparken you can take tram 5 (for Torp). The trams stop on Korsvägen right opposite the hotel. You can find timetables for these trams on the Västtrafik website. (https://www.vasttrafik.se/en/)

Travel by Bus

The Nils Ericson Terminal is serviced by long distance and express bus companies such as FlixBus, Vy Bus4You, and Vy Express. You can easily get transportation to Gothenburg from major cities in Sweden and elsewhere in Scandinavia. Travel time is around 3½ hours from Oslo, 6½ hours from Stockholm, 3½ hours from Malmö, and 5 hours from Copenhagen. In West Sweden, you can travel by Västtrafik bus.

Travel by Taxi

If you want to get around Gothenburg in a taxi, there are several options available to you: call and book your taxi, hail one on the street, or get one at one of the designated taxi stands around the city. Licensed taxis always carry yellow license plates.

Important: Taxi fares are not regulated in Sweden. This means that fares can vary greatly between operators. It is your responsibility to check the fare beforehand. You can do so by checking the yellow and white label on the rear door window of the taxicab. The highest fare for a ride is typically between 290 and 390 Swedish Krona (SEK).

The fare indicated on the yellow label is based on a 10-km, 15-minute taxi ride.

Travelling From Landvetter Airport

The Flygbussarna airport coaches run to and from Landvetter airport (a 20 minutes’ journey) and stop at Korsvägen/The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, right opposite the hotel.

The last six digits of your mobile phone number will be used as a code for the gate when you collect your car.

Cars from other countries, motorcycles, or cars with a personalized license plate:
Our system is unable to read these license plates, and you do not need to provide your license number. Instead, please collect a ticket from Guest Service before driving to the car park.

If you have not pre-booked parking, contact Guest Service when you arrive, and they will help you to book a space, subject to availability.

In Gothenburg, trams, buses, and boats are always included in your public transport ticket/card. All tickets and traveling cards can be purchased at any Västtrafik sales outlet or using the Västtrafik To Go app. The outlets can be recognized by their blue flags and façade décor. Most of them are kiosks like Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven or grocery stores. The Tourist Centre at Kungsportsplatsen also sells 1-day and 3-day tickets.

More information about the tourist and visitors’ card is available at vasttrafik.se.

Single tickets

A single ticket is available from 30 SEK and can be purchased at any of the Västtrafik sales outlets or on board most often. If you wish to buy your ticket on board, the following apply:

  • On the city buses: You can’t buy tickets on board. You have to pre-purchase your ticket.
