Yeva Fernandez, MD, is a aboard certified, fellowship trained neurologist with a specialized focus in movement disorders. In addition to her fellowship training, Dr. Fernandez completed post graduate training at the National Institute of Health Movement Disorders Clinic. She has a particular interest in ultrasound guided chemodenervation. She is an expert in the management of movement disorders and injects botulinum neurotoxin for the management of adult spasticity, cervical dystonia, focal limb dystonia, tremors, oromandibular dystonia, sialorrhea, hemifacial spasm and tics.

With an extensive background in research and education, Dr. Fernandez is a movement disorders neurologist who uses evidence-based medicine to provide individualized treatment plans for all patients. She also has an interest in teaching chemodenervation and has experience teaching these techniques with her distinguished colleagues for continuing medical education courses.
Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Fernandez was an Assistant Professor at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her experience consists of extensive research in Parkinson’s disease as well as years of resident teaching positions at Rutgers-RWJUH and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Fernandez is recognized as a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Movement Disorders Society, and the International Neurotoxin Association.
