Please explain what is GFS. Reconsider the headings of the abstract and explain what neuropathic symtpoms persisted after surgery. Reconsider the conclusions: maybe the idea is that when botulinum treatment looses effectiveness over time it is necessary to further investigate the situation. In the presence of a neurovascular conflict, surgical treatment maybe necessary but at the same time a lot of patients can also be successfully and sufficiently treated with BONT-A alone without surgery despite a neurovascular contact. Therefore, the typical approach in most centers would be to first explore the less invasive BONT-A treatment and only in case of insufficient response move to the more invasive surcial treatment. This should be acknowledged.
